Hannah Pope is a native of Birmingham, AL growing up in Hoover where she currently resides with her husband, daughter and dachshund. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University in 2015. During her time as an undergraduate student at Samford, Pope took advantage of study abroad opportunities traveling to London learning about British healthcare and exploring the city as well as Ecuador for missions nursing. Her background is pediatric nursing, and she has worked as an RN at Children’s of Alabama (COA) in both the operating room and intensive care step-down unit since graduating. Pope has also worked as a part-time clinical associate with Samford students for several years in the areas of health assessment, foundations and pediatrics sparking her desire to pursue further education. She received a Master of Science in nursing (MSN) for education from Auburn University and transitioned from clinician at COA to nurse educator at Samford. She was thrilled to return to Samford for her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Administration completed in 2024. Pope’s desire is to be an educational leader integrating faith and practice for the future generation of nurses providing compassionate, holistic and competent nursing care.
